These products will improve the ability of the building to keep heating (or cooling) inside of the structure, keeping occupants comfortable while also better protecting the building, Increasing the air-tightness of a home or building will decrease the amount of energy used for heating and cooling, saving on energy costs and making less of a demand on the planet.

What are the Types of Products that are Used to Achieve Air-tightness?

The goal of air-tight building is to create a barrier between the inside of the structure and the outdoor environment. The more comprehensive the air-tightness strategy or system, the more comfortable and energy-efficient the building will be. A comprehensive design will include an exterior air barrier wrap, sealing around the windows (either by tape or liquid membrane) and other openings. Some product lines will also include indoor barriers and sealant for interior openings.
